JPS, UTECH partner on solar energy project

The Jamaica Public Service Company (JPS) and the University of Technology (UTECH) are set to launch a partnership to develop a solar energy facility at the institution.

JPS' head of communications Winsome Callum says the two entities have agreed to conduct a pilot project that will provide electricity to UTECH and be used as a learning tool for students.

JPS president and CEO Kelly Tomblin and her UTECH counterpart, Professor Errol Morrison will provide more details on the project when it is launched tomorrow.
