New York Law School, an independent law school located in the heart of Manhattan's legal, governmental and financial centers, and has long been at the forefront of legal education. New York Law School has more than 13,000 graduates. Currently it enrolls about 1,350 full-time students and 400 part-time students in its J.D. program. New York Law School also has four advanced degree programs in financial services law, real estate, tax, and mental disability law studies. New York Law School prides itself on attracting a highly diverse student population.

In 2009, New York Law School moved into a new modern glass and steel academic building, an architecturally striking, 235,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art facility, which became the first institutional building project completed in downtown Manhattan since 9/11.

About the New Dean and President

On May 22, 2012, Anthony W. Crowell, long-time Counselor to New York City Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg and active member of the New York City Community, took the helm as the 16th Dean and President of New York Law School.

With the full support of the Board of Trustees, the administration, the faculty, and the students, Dean Crowell is eager to maximize New York Law School's strengths and is poised to bring New York Law School recognition as a national leader in legal education.

Assistant Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid

New York Law School has a dynamic career opportunity for an outstanding hands-on leader with the ability to motivate and lead a team of highly driven professionals in our Admissions and Financial Aid Office. Working in partnership with the Associate Dean of Admission and Financial Aid, the Assistant Dean provides strategic direction for the planning, developing and implementing of competitive marketing and innovative recruitment strategies for the Law School's admissions and financial aid programs; prepares and presents statistical reports and data analysis of applicant trends; and produces results with continued review and enhancement of policies and procedures to ensure a diverse student population. The Assistant Dean will collaborate will all departments within the law school to ensure an integrated approach for our students and alumni while promoting the mission of the law school.

Qualifications & Experience

The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 5 to 7 years of professional experience in a lead management role in admissions. A Master's Degree and Law School experience strongly preferred. Candidates with satisfactory equivalent experience may be considered. The ideal candidate will have exemplary leadership skills, demonstrated management skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team of professionals, and significant experience in strategic planning and development of competitive recruitment strategies. Analytical, communication and effective public speaking skills are essential, as is the ability to master the admissions and financial aid software required in our highly technological environment. Travel up to 10%.
